Situation:
An Illinois power company needed to upgrade its multi-bed deionization equipment within a tight, six-month time frame.
Challenges:
Because the job called for an upgrade as opposed to new construction, the challenge was to design a new system to fit into existing rooms with limited access.
Solution:
The design team at Itasca worked with the company’s plant engineers and staff to create a unique modular design that could be easily assembled and installed onsite. The new system included a 150 gpm double pass RO and 250 gpm double pass RO.
Results:
The components were quickly installed at the site and the system was commissioned within two days.
